Microsoft’s CSP POR compliance rules is taking effect on1 December 2025 and will enforce new validation rules for assigning (Reseller) Partner of Record (POR) on CSP subscriptions. Only authorized indirect resellers can be assigned as POR
To avoid disruption to your business—including the inability to create or update subscriptions after 1 December— please ensure that:
- Your CSP enrolment is active in Microsoft Partner Center
- You provided Crayon with correct Partner Location Account ID and Microsoft CSP Agreement ID.
We have now made it easier to identify these setup and configuration issues with alerts in PRISM. Follow along this guide to verify if your account information in PRISM is upto date and steps to be taken if it must be rectified.

Recommended Actions to Resolving POR errors
Microsoft reviews the Partner on Record (POR) association and informs distributors of any issues identified with the association. A common issue is submitting the PGA (Global ID) instead of the PLA (Location ID) for POR association. Error Code 900400 often corresponds to this error. This guide provides instructions for resolving this and other related error codes.
For linking PLA ID instead of PGA ID (Error code – 900400):
- Log in to your Microsoft Partner Center using your CSP tenant credentials.
- Go to Account Settings > Identifiers, locate your Partner Location Account ID and take a screenshot of the page.
- Email Crayon operations with:
- Request to Update your Microsoft CSP Agreement ID
- Your Partner Location Account ID
- Screenshot from Partner Center
- If you haven’t already, accept Crayon’s distributor invitation using the relevant country link: AU, NZ (Requires Partner Center Global Admin).
To verify your CSP Authorization status (other error codes):
Verify that your CSP authorization is active as the first step to resolving other error codes you might see in the PRISM dashboard. Microsoft CSP Authorization requirements for Indirect Resellers have come into effect beginning October 2025. To remain eligible, partners must:
- Meet new baseline criteria related to security posture, including mandatory multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all administrative users and completion of required security controls in the Partner Center.
- Minimum of USD $1,000 in CSP transactional revenue over the past 12 months at the reseller PLA tenant level
Check your CSP authorization status in Partner Center:
- Sign in to Partner Center with your CSP Global admin credentials and select the Settings (gear) icon.
- Select Account settings, and then select Legal Info under Organization Profile.
- Select the Reseller tab on the page. Expand the Program info section by clicking the (>) symbol.
- If Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider status is Active, then the Partner Center account has an Active CSP program enrollment.
- If Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider status is Qualified, then navigate to the Agreements page to accept the Microsoft Partner Agreement and complete the CSP program enrollment.
- If the account verification status is Rejected or Declined, then the account verification failed. To find out how to resolve the verification issue, review Verify your account information when you enroll in a new Partner Center program.
