Move a Consumption Program Tenant to New Customer

This feature in PRISM allows partners to consolidate their PRISM data. This will assist partners where they want to have one customer record associated to all the programs they are enrolled in PRISM. 

 

To Move a Consumption Program tenant from one customer to another, please consider below rules:

- Microsoft CSP can allow an end customer to have multiple tenant records for the same program.

- Other Consumption Programs and all other programs enforce that there can only be one Tenant record for the program associated to the customer record.

- A Tenant record can only be moved sideways in the hierarchy. They cannot be associated to a customer with a different Parent account.

- A Tenant record cannot be moved to a deactivated customer.

- Only active Tenant records can be moved.

 

Steps to follow to Move a Consumption Program Tenant to New Customer: 

 

1. Within PRISM, navigate to Customer Management tab

2. Select the customer which you want to move the associated program from by clicking View

 

 

3. Click on the Change Association button from the Actions column to move the program to new customer

 

 

4. A change program association window will then appear, find the customer you want to associate the Program from the dropdown list and select it, only list of valid customers will be shown.

 

 

 

 

5. Click on Submit, you will be asked to confirm the association   

 

 

 

Once you confirm the dialog box. The program will now be associated with the new customer and will be shown in associated programs list in the customer view.
