What is a Third-Party Application?
A third-party application is any company/tooling that uses PRISM's public API to trigger activities from within PRISM or as a result of an action in PRISM to another system by wrapping itself around PRISM's APIs. These applications can/could be used to create tenants/subscriptions; export pricing; import product information; and/or on-charging customers.
PRISM Third-Party Applications
Crayon, through PRISM, currently provides PSA billing applications using PRISM Connect; please see this article for more information about PRISM Connect and which PSA we connect with. Any PSA listed would be referred to as a "PRISM Third-Party Application".
Non-PRISM Third-Party Applications
Any third-party application/s that are not supported through PRISM Connect are considered "Non-PRISM Third Party Applications". This means that Crayon has no legal and/or financial ownership/relationship with the application/s and it's Manufacturer and, therefore, cannot provide support and/or development for the application/s.
Support for Non-PRISM Third-Party Applications
Should you choose to use a Non-PRISM Third Party Application, generally, you would be requested to provide the application/s and/or Manufacturer with your user and/or API credential information. Once credential information is shared, Crayon takes no responsibility for any activities triggered in or from PRISM as a result of the application. These activities include but are not limited to:
- Provisioning licenses
- Cancelling licenses
- Usage Reporting
- Exporting of pricing/products
- On-billing to end customers
- Downtime of the application
- Development of the application
Please refer to the PRISM Terms of Use before providing access to any Third-Party Application to use your PRISM account. These applications are supported and developed wholly by the manufacturer (not Crayon ). Please contact the manufacturer directly to receive assistance with these applications.
