Exchanging Reserved Instances
To submit a request to cancel a Reserved Instance, please submit a request via our Azure Reservation Exchange form.
If you are unsure of your account manager's details, please use this Knowledge Base article to locate these details.
Once you have submitted your request, this will then be processed internally and you will receive a notification to let you know once completed, or if for some reason the request couldn't be actioned due to vendor restrictions you will be advised as well.
Information Required to Exchange a Reservation
Your PRISM Account Name: this is the Account Name that you are invoiced against, this can be found by referring to a recent invoice in PRISM under the invoices tab.
For all other information of the reservation, once in PRISM, navigate to the Microsoft CSP tile, and under the Manage Tenant screen, you will be able to see the Reserved Instances heading; underneath this heading, you will see a list of Active Reserved Instances, select the Manage button next to the reservation that requires an exchange:
- Tenant Name
- Tenant Domain
- Reservation Name or Friendly Name (please ensure to select the correct reservation before copying the reservation friendly name)
On the following screen, you will see the information on this Reserved Instance.
- Current Product Name
- Reservation ID
- Current Product SKU
- Current Reservation Renewal Date
- Current Quantity under Reservation
To locate your Current Reservation Billing/Term Structure, please review the last invoice you received for this reservation. If the term on the last invoice was 1 or more years, than select Annual Billing with Annual Term. If the term on the last invoice was 1 month than select Monthly Billing with Annual Term.
