How to Find an Azure Reservations SKU

 

Within PRISM under the Microsoft CSP Program tile, you can search for Azure Reservations SKUs either via the Pricelist or Add Reserved Instance pages. For additional information of the ordering and billing process for Azure Reservations/Reserved Instances, please review this article.

 

You can search for Reserved instance products either By Name or By Criteria. The search option By Name is the default option when ordering a new RI product and it will allow users to query and retrieve the top 15 RI products matching the search term.

 

The search option By Criteria will allow users to search RI products based on region, term and product.

Within the above screenshot, the following fields have the following meanings:

1. Region refers to the Azure Regions. Please see this guide for region names and meanings. This field relates to the Region field on the Microsoft's Azure Pricing Calculator
2. Term refers to the commitment term of the reservation, example 1 Year; 3 Years, 5 Years
3. Reserved Instance Product refers to the Product Group. his field relates to the Instance Series field on the Microsoft's Azure Pricing Calculator

Once these three selections are made a product list becomes available and an additional search box is available to Seach for a specific product (please note that the search bar will only look for products under the same Instance Series/Product Group. And when using Microsoft's Azure Pricing Calculator, you would usually start with the Instance instead of Instance Series/Product Group; therefore, attached to this article, we have listed out the Instances and which Instance Series/Product Group they are nested under.

 

Note: If you are attempting to find a specific instance and cannot locate in PRISM, try changing a "-" to an "_" or space.

 

Please note that the below list contains all active products as of December 2022; and the vendor defines which products are available in which region and with which term.
